Apple Crumble

The perfect Autumn Treat

Ingredients:
185g butter (melted)
200g Plain flour
Handful Almonds
50g Brown sugar
1/2 tsp salt
2 tsp cinnamon
1/2 tsp ground ginger
1/2 lemon juice
100g white sugar
3 Large apples (red or green or both - sliced)

Method:
Step 1: Preheat the oven to 176˚C and grease a large to medium baking tray with butter, and set aside. Next, in a bowl add your flour, almonds, brown sugar, and salt. Stir in the melted butter and mix together until the texture is coarse and sandy.

Step 2: In your baking tray add your sliced apples, sugar, cinnamon, ginger, and lemon juice and toss to combine. Spread evenly and then begin to add the crumb mixture onto the apples, filling it up to the top.

Step 3: Bake for 50 minutes and until the apples begin bubbling and the crumb mixture turns a golden brown.

Step 4: Serve warm with Vanilla ice cream ( see recipe for vanilla ice cream on my website)
