Homemade classic coconut bars

Ingredients:
200g desiccated coconut
200g condensed milk
1/2 tsp vanilla extract
300g milk chocolate 

Method:
Step 1: Line a square baking tin with parchment or cling film and set it aside. In a large bowl, pour in the coconut, condensed milk, and vanilla extract and stir together.

Step 2: Pour into the prepared tin and leave to set in the freezer for about an hour or overnight.  

Step 3: Cut the set mixture into small bars and use your finger to round the corners making them look like a real bar.

Step 4: Place onto a wire rack over a tray so they are ready to go when pouring the chocolate.

Step 5: Melt the chocolate over a simmering pan of water, making sure the water does not touch the bottom of the bowl. Allow to melt until smooth, pour the melted chocolate over the bars to coat them completely.

Step 6: Use a skewer to level the chocolate out and then create the lines on the top.

Step 7: Allow the chocolate to set in the freezer for 30 or more mins before serving!
