Ingredients: 1 readymade pastry 1 egg 2 tablespoons oil 3-5 Large potatoes 150g Green peas, fresh or frozen 1 green chilli (finely chopped) 2 tsp cumin seeds 2 tsp garam masala 1 tsp chilli powder Handful coriander
Method: Step 1: So firstly, chop the potatoes into squares and boil the potatoes until soft, empty out the water and set aside in a bowl.
Step 2: Heat oil in a large pan, add cumin seeds and cook for 30-60 seconds to release the flavours. Add the chopped green chilli and cook for 1 minute, before adding in the peas allow the peas to cook for 1-2minutes.
Step 3: Pour the mix into the bowl of potatoes as well as 1 tsp garam masala, 1 tsp chilli powder and some chopped coriander. Mix well until fully combined, making sure that you mash down the potatoes so they are not too lumpy.
Step 4: Next, roll out the ready made pastry dough and cut into 8 squares. Add the filling into each square and pulling over the bottom left square up over the filling to the top right square. Close it and using your fork, imprint all around the pastry so that it closes up and seals the filling inside. Continue this process for each square and egg wash each one before putting into the oven.
Step 5: Oven is to be set at 180˚C and bake for 35 minutes - turning them over mid way until cooked through and golden.
