Apple Turnovers

Prep time 10mins | Total time 30mins

Ingredients:
300g Puff Pastry (pre made)
4 granny smith apples (diced into small squares)
100g brown sugar

Method:
Firstly prepare the apple filling. Using a large pan over medium heat, add in your diced apples and sugar and cook for about 8 minutes or until apple is soft and sugar has caramelized.

Next, preheat the oven to 200c and line a baking tray with baking parchment. Roll out the pastry and cut into 8 or 10 rectangles.

Place 4 (or 5) onto the tray and leave spaces between each! Begin to add the filling into the centre of the pastry. Add the other pastry on top, pressing down around the sides with a fork. Continue this process until all pastries are filled and pressed.

Brush with some milk and poke a few holes into each.

Bake for 20 minutes until golden, then leave to cool slightly before topping with icing sugar and a side of fresh cream or ice cream.
