Ingredients;
178ml water
3/4 cup sugar
1 cinnamon stick
1 orange
10 whole cloves
1 bottle of red wine (quality is important here)
Method:
In a large saucepan over high heat, combine the water, sugar, and cinnamon stick. Bring to a boil, then reduce heat and simmer.
Next, cut the orange in half and squeeze the juice into the saucepan. Using your cloves, push them into the outside of the oranges (the peel) and then place them into the saucepan. Allow simmering for 30minutes, until thick and syrupy.
Finally, pour the wine into the pan, and heat until steaming (not simmering) in doing this you just need to place the heat on a low setting.
Remove the cloves-orange and cinnamon stick. Serve hot in a cup and enjoy!
